Photowalk: Analog walk Laan van Meerdervoort

  • Laan van Meerdervoort 1 Laan van Meerdervoort Den Haag, ZH, 2517 AJ Netherlands (map)

On sunday morning July 28th, we’ll start this (free) analog photowalk at 8am at the beginning of the Laan van Meerdervoort. We’ll take it slow, taking our time to walk the entire length of the historic Laan van Meerdervoort (about 6km) while photographing en route with our analog cameras.

The Laan van Meerdervoort exists under that name since 1904 but a mention of the path that is now the Laan van Meerdervoort dates from 1769. It’s the longest lane in the Netherlands and has a very interesting history. The laan forms the imaginary dividing line between the sandy soil of the dunes on the one hand, on which it was said the ‘Hagenaars’ live, and on the other hand, the peat soil on which the ‘Hagenezen’ live.

Complementary to the historical character of this walk, we’ll photograph with film on analog cameras. 120mm, 35mm, SLR’s, rangefinders, point and shoots; anything goes! This will be a great opportunity to practice and share knowledge on shooting film.

N.B. The duration of the walk is only an indication. There will be plenty of opportunity for coffee and other refreshments along the way and we’ll take a few breaks along the way.

Please RSVP by joining the corresponding group in the Whatsapp community (not yet a member of the Whatsapp community? Sign up here).
